The world is one, the world is united!

On April 19, in the Academic Council Hall of RSUH, a panel discussion was held on the topic “Formation of all-Russian civic identity and harmonization of interethnic relations among youth”, organized by the All-Russian public movement “All-Russian Interethnic Youth Union”, the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of the City of Moscow, Department of International Relations RSUH jointly with the Office for Work with Students of RSUH.

The participants discussed mechanisms to strengthen interethnic peace and harmony among students, the importance of traditional spiritual and moral values as the foundation for interaction and strengthening social unity.

The experts on interethnic, interreligious and migration relations that spoke to the audience were Dr. Kantemir Khurtaev, Chairman of the All-Russian Interethnic Youth Union, Dr. Vladimir Zorin, Chairman of the Commission for the Harmonization of Interethnic and Interreligious Relations of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, Dr. Yuri Moskovsky, Chairman of the Commission on Migration Issues of the Council for Nationalities Affairs under the Moscow Government, Anzor Nazarkhudoev, Chairman of the regional public organization "PAMIR" and Kubanychbek Osmonbekov, Chairman of the MOO "Council of the Kyrgyz Diaspora".

Dr. Khurtaev explained in his speech that such events were held by the State University International Friendship Club so that activists could understand the trends in the field of interethnic relations and know all possible risks and threats. The most recent example is the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, which, in addition to tragic consequences, led to the incitement of migrant phobia.

Dr. Vladimir Zorin quoted the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin that Russia was built on the basis of a strong core of Orthodoxy, around which national and religious diversity was actively developing.
